Salms cita una reivindicació del marxisme recent d'Antoni Casals. És evident que el marxisme no està de moda. Mala cosa, que sigui qüestió de modes. Però en tot cas, en constatar això, no em puc estar de recordar certa observació que em va fer fa anys el meu professor de sociologia: que alguns dels que creuen totalment superat el marxisme, fa l'efecte que no n'hagin llegit, de Marx, ni el resum més breu i més entenedor. Per exemple el discurs d'Engels en l'enterrament del seu amic barbut: "...the simple fact, hitherto concealed by an overgrowth of ideology, that mankind must first of all eat, drink, have shelter and clothing, before it can pursue politics, science, art, religion, etc.; that therefore the production of the immediate material means, and consequently the degree of economic development attained by a given people or during a given epoch..." Me'ls imagino dient: "Veges quin simplisme!" Però no sé si els trobo capaços d'una complexitat major.
